We teach children to care for themselves. It starts small: hold your own bottle, dress yourself, tie your shoes, zipper your jacket. It gets bigger: learn to read, learn to work. It leads to this: get a job and support yourself.
But simultaneously, we teach children to pray.
Independent people depend on God.
