You expected joy but sorrow brought heartache. So you pray.
And loving, compassionate Father responds: “Those who hope in me will not be disappointed (Isaiah 49:23).
If that’s not enough, He also says, “All the Lord’s promises prove true (Psalm 18:30).
“Always continue to fear the Lord. . . . your hope will not be disappointed (Proverbs 23:17-18).”

Amen! I also love Romans 15:14 in The Message version, where the author calls God the ‘God of green hope.’ May we always be filled with green hope.
