Honest Prayer

“I called out to God, softly. ‘Hello? I’m sorry God. I’m sorry I got so confused about You, got so fake. If you want to talk, I’m here now.’

As I lay there, talking to God, being real with Him, I began to feel a bit of serenity. It felt like I was apologizing to an old friend, and the friend as saying it was okay, that he didn’t think anything of it.

I felt a lot of peace.”*

A Church Community

“About the time I was praying that God would help me find a church, I got a call from Mark, and he said he had a close friend who was moving to Portland to start a church and that I should join him. . . . I could feel that God was answering my prayer, so I went.”*

God answers prayers for fellowship. It’s what He wants for us. Let us not give up meeting together (Hebrews 10:25).

On God’s Provision

“Five of twelve months last year I prayed God would send me rent. Five of twelve months I received a check in the mail the day the rent was due.”*

Your story can be like his.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need (Matthew 6:33).
