Prayer is the better way

You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask (James 4:2).

One verse. Two options for dealing with desires.

Choose the better way. Pray.

Unfulfilled Desire?

We prayed. God’s answer disappointed us.

But God says He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them (Psalm 145:19).

So we choose to believe that God’s denial will lead to the fulfillment of our heart’s desire.

When we delight in the Lord, our desire is not so much to have as to be and do.*

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).
