This sign stops cars. Covid-19 stops people. As you’re stopped, pause and consider:
Just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people (Hebrews 9:27-28).
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16 bold mine).
You can pray, believing.
Dry bones came to life and became an exceedingly great army when God gave them breath (See Ezekiel 37:1-10). This story is a powerful picture of what God does.
Keep praying for those who need life. Jesus came “that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).”
“Eugene Peterson has died and is now with the Triune God he has loved his entire life. Family says Message author joyfully looked toward heaven as he neared death, saying, ‘Let’s go.'”*

On May 16, 2017, a beloved friend passed into eternity. We miss her. A lot.
Yet we know she is with the Lord.
How can we be so certain?
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13).
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal live (John 3:16).
Jesus said: Go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you (Matthew 6:6).
Elijah did just that. He saw the child lying dead on his bed. So he went in and shut the door behind the two of them and prayed to the Lord (2 Kings 4:32-33).
Death became life because of secret prayer!
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift (2 Corinthians 9:15).
The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
God gave me a gift that will last forever. I want to thank Him again and again and again.
The free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The obituary tells her story from life to death.

Yet she lives.
The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
*This precious woman of faith is our son-in-law Curtis’s mom.
She was born. She lived. She died.
But her story isn’t finished.
She trusted Jesus, who said, “Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live (John 11:25).”
Her story can be yours. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13).
He grew like a tender plant in the midst of a parched ground (from Isaiah 53:2).
Jesus is capable of bringing life to any person, society, or culture no matter how hardened or hostile they have become to the gospel.*
Continue praying for those who need eternal life.
