What to pray for Ukraine – Hope

The Lord will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. He will swallow up death forever (Isaiah 25:7-8).

Pray for hope in God and in his gift of eternal life.

God With Us

They named him Emmanuel.
God with us.
We wanted him here
Hoped today
Would be his birth day.

But Emmanuel is with God.
We miss him.
Silently, his life speaks
God is with us.

We have this Promise
Eternal Life.
Us with God.
God with us.
Together forever.

Eternal Life

The free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift (Romans 4:16).

Receive God’s gift and say thank you.

Eternal Life

This sign stops cars. Covid-19 stops people. As you’re stopped, pause and consider: 

Just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people  (Hebrews 9:27-28).

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16 bold mine).

You can pray, believing.

God Gives Life

Dry bones came to life and became an exceedingly great army when God gave them breath (See Ezekiel 37:1-10). This story is a powerful picture of what God does.

Keep praying for those who need life. Jesus came “that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).”

Eternal Life

On May 16, 2017,  a beloved friend passed into eternity. We miss her. A lot.

Yet we know she is with the Lord.

How can we be so certain?
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13).

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal live (John 3:16).

Why You Should Pray in Secret

Jesus said: Go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you (Matthew 6:6).

Elijah did just that. He saw the child lying dead on his bed. So he went in and shut the door behind the two of them and prayed to the Lord (2 Kings 4:32-33).

Death became life because of secret prayer!
