The sun’s bright pathway of light reminded me that God’s Word is a light for my path. The guidance it gives is simple and clear.
Never stop praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
No matter what.

Flowers flourishing in an unlikely place, because they’re soaking up water and sunshine.
Pray that people will thrive during lock down, though reading God’s Word and Christian books*. Jesus said, “The very words I have spoken are spirit and life (John 6:63).“

Our pastor encouraged us to read Bible with someone who doesn’t yet know the Lord. I could not get my friend out of my mind. I have been praying for her salvation for 2 years.
I asked God to make our paths cross if this was His idea. A few days later, I encountered her on the sidewalk. She said she’d love to visit with me. We didn’t pick a time, but I noticed God had answered my prayer.
A few days after that, the elevator I was riding stopped on the 7th floor. When she stepped in, I knew what God wanted. (Our building has 40 floors, and almost 500 units, so seeing her was not coincidental.)
The very next afternoon, we sat together, reading the Bible.
I believe God will answer my prayers. Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).
Read God’s Word.
Pray according to God’s agenda and revelation.*
Repeat. Day after day, week after week, year after year.

Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous rules. My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes (Psalm 119:164,171).
A prayerful response to God’s Word is praise.
