Do not hesitate to plead with God on behalf of those who will not plead for themselves.*
When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes (Job 42:10).
God blesses us as we pray for others.
Ask the Lord what you should pray. That’s what Hosea did.
Lord, what should I request for your people (Hosea 9:14)?
When you pray for others, think carefully about who they are and what they do.
Here’s an example: “As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds and the enduring hope you have (1 Thessalonians 1:3).”
Pray. And think.
Isaac pleaded with the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was unable to have children. The Lord answered Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins (Genesis 25:21).
God answers prayer.
