Our oldest lost another baby. I said, “I wish I could bear her pain.”
Our youngest said, “The only person who can do that is Jesus.”
He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4, bold mine).
This is why we pray.
Don’t face trouble or sorrow alone.
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
in his arms he’ll take and shield you,
you will find a solace there.*
