Women who faithfully pray still get sick. Life still disappoints. Children cause grief, husbands lose jobs or much worse, lose interest in marriage.
Yet these women still pray.
By praying, they know, “In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old” (Isaiah 63:9).
As you pray, you’ll know God’s presence. In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them (Isaiah 63:9).
As you pray, you’ll believe God’s promise. He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces (Isaiah 25:8).
The Lord’s love is unfailing. We never suffer alone.
In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years (Isaiah 63:9).
As you pray though suffering, remember God is here.
