Guard against pride when you pray.

Prayer and Pride, Part 3

God opposes the proud but favors the humble (James 4:6). I don’t want God to oppose me. I want His favor. Don’t you? How can we become genuinely humble?

Humble people spend much time in prayer. They admit they are always in need.*

*adapted from John MacArthur, The MacArthur New Testament Commentary Matthew 1-7, p.150.
