Still More on God’s Will and Prayer

As you pray about God’s will, ask yourself: How does this help me love the Lord? And my neighbor?

Answer honestly.

Jesus said, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. . . . Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39; bold type mine).

The Greatest Commandment

People who pray obey God’s command: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind . . . Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-38).

Prayer shows love for God and neighbor.
