Sin gives pain, shame, despair, and death.

So we pray, “Wash away my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin (Psalm 51:2).”

God gives peace, honor, hope, and life.

Living makes us dirty on the outside, so we wash ourselves every day.

Living makes us dirty on the inside too, so we pray every day, “Wash away all my inquiry and cleanse me from my sin. Wash me and I will be whiter than snow (Psalm 51:2,7).
