If you pray this way: “I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust'” (Psalm 91:2)
Then “you will not fear the terror of the night . . . nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness” (from Psalm 91:5-6).
We found this to be true while our grandson was in the NICU.

My husband wants me to trust him, even when he’s driving us in the city.
God wants me to trust Him, even when I don’t understand.
Our heavenly Father gives good gifts to those who ask him (from Matthew 7:11).
It is difficult to bridle desires and be still before God. But often it is through the humbling disappointments of unanswered prayer that we find our way to rest.*
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7).

Jesus told the disciples, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.” Later He told them, “You may ask me for anything in my name” (John 14:1, 14).
Don’t be troubled. Trust in God and pray.
