Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you (1 Peter 5:7).
I began my prayer time saying, “I’m not sure what to do, Lord.”
Then I read that day’s Scripture verse.* It read, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers (Philippians 4:6 TLB).”

My biggest problem is not my situation. It’s that I worry about it.
The Lord perceives my anxious thoughts. He offers me His peace as I pray (from Psalm 139:2,23; John 14:27; Philippians 4:6-7).
Don’t let your hearts be dulled by drunkenness or the worries of this life. Keep alert at all times. And pray (from Luke 21:34-36 NLT).
That’s interesting juxtapositioning, isn’t it?
Don’t get drunk. Don’t worry. Pray.
